What this is, who made it, what it claims, and what it does not.
The Living Tradition is a static, source-transparent study archive of the Church Fathers, the councils, the canons and the formation of Scripture, built for the Orthodox Church's own tradition and for anyone who wants to check the evidence.
What it claims
That the documents it archives are transcribed accurately from the public-domain editions it names; that its quotations exist in those texts at the locators given, because the build checks; and that where it does not know something, it says so.
What it does not claim
How it was built
The conciliar texts and canons were extracted from Percival's 1900 edition of the seven ecumenical councils; the patristic works from the Ante-Nicene and Nicene and Post-Nicene Fathers. The extraction scripts, the checksums and the provenance records are in the repository, so the archive can be rebuilt and checked independently.
The methodology page sets out the authority tiers, the verification routes, and — importantly — the limitation that prevented this build from confirming anything against official Orthodox sources.
Corrections
Errors are expected and reports are welcome. Every page has a link that opens a prefilled issue. The corrections page records what has been accepted.
Contributing
Contributions must carry sources. The repository's contribution guidance rejects unsourced quotations and copyrighted uploads, and the build enforces a good deal of it mechanically.
