No accounts, no analytics, no cookies, no trackers. Your study data stays in your browser.
This site collects nothing about you.
What is not here
- No accounts and no sign-in.
- No analytics of any kind, first-party or third-party.
- No cookies. The site sets none.
- No advertising, trackers, fingerprinting, or telemetry.
- No third-party scripts and no third-party fonts. Everything the page loads comes from this site.
- No comment system and no user-generated content.
What is stored, and where
Reading preferences are kept in your browser's local storage. Study progress, bookmarks, notes, answered review questions and study-packet selections are kept in your browser's IndexedDB. All of it stays on the device you are using. None of it is transmitted anywhere, and this site has no server that could receive it.
You can export, import or erase all of it at any time. Export produces a JSON file with a schema version so a future version of the site can migrate it rather than discard it. Import is additive and will not wipe newer notes.
If your browser blocks storage — a private window, cleared site data, a device configured to refuse it — the site still works. Nothing will be remembered between visits, and the My Study page will say so.
Read aloud
The read-aloud controls use your browser's own speech synthesis, with the voices installed on your device. Article text and your notes are never sent to a speech service.
External links
Links to other sites are marked and open in a new tab with safe link attributes. This site cannot control what those sites do, and following one takes you outside this site's privacy behaviour.
Offline
A service worker caches pages so the site works without a connection. The cache is on your device, is versioned so a new deployment replaces it, and fetches HTML from the network first so you are never stranded on stale content.
